Science
Our Science programme seeks to re-map the learning of Science concepts to stimulate your child’s interest in Science.
At intermediate primary (P3 and P4), we aim to build a firm foundation in essential content and process skills needed for your child to ace the Science examination paper.
Each topic begins with comprehensive notes, coupled with commonly tested questions and more complex integrated higher order thinking questions, are introduced in class to reinforce the understanding of scientific concepts.
At upper level (P5 and P6), ensuring your child attain the essential techniques and skills needed to ace his PSLE paper is our main focus. In addition to the comprehensive notes, we also set questions to develop critical thinking skills. Examination techniques such as analysing application questions, experiment-based questions and graphs, identifying dependent and independent variables are heavily emphasised in class.
At P6, every examinable topic and component of the PSLE will be thoroughly covered - key concepts and fundamental techniques. Extra practice will be done to cover PSLE trends and expose your child to noteworthy questions.
At all levels, experiments will be conducted to allow your child to further explore the real-world application of concepts and thereby, an escalated interest in how Science is all around us. Your child will also attempt practice papers before his examination to familiarise himself with the examination format. Techniques on how to answer the questions using key Science terms in relation to the context are also taught in class.
